These absolutely adorable mini rosemary wreath necklace is a must have accessory for kids this holiday season! They smell amazing, look perfect with any holiday outfit, and are super easy to make. In this post, I’ll teach you how to make the mini wreaths and share some aromatherapy benefits of rosemary that just so happens to be perfect for the holiday season!
Ok, I am obsessed with these rosemary wreath necklaces! It’s so cute and actually has a lot of therapeutic benefits to help kids (and adults) get through this wonderful yet exhausting and sometimes stressful time of year.
What are the therapeutic benefits of rosemary?
Good question! Rosemary helps:
- reduce stress and nervous tension
- boost mental activity
- encourage clarity and insight
- relieve fatigue
- support respiratory function
- eliminate negative moods
- stimulate appetite
Perfect, right? If you see me in the streets on Christmas day, don’t be surprised if I’m sporting one of these! I love my family, but by the end of this crazy whirlwind we call Christmas, I might need a little rosemary to help me get through the marathon.
Ready to make one a few? Here’s what you’ll need….
Supplies:
- Fresh Rosemary- We founds some at the grocery store
- Twine
- Red wooden beads

Here’s How We Made Our Rosemary Wreath Necklaces:
Step 1:
Put a red bead on a piece of twine. I use hemp twine because it’s thinner and doesn’t fray as easily.
Step 2:
I pushed the stick side of the rosemary sprig through the bead. A couple sticks were a little thick, so I thinned them out with scissors.
Step 3:
Connect the opposite ends of the rosemary sprig with wire. Some rosemary sprigs were more flexible then others, but with a little manipulation, they all turn out cute and unique in their own way. Floral wire is ideal because it’s green and blends in with the rosemary, but my silver jewelry wire worked fine for this activity. You can barely see it in the picture below.
Here’s a tip! Check your rosemary before you purchase it and look for containers with longer sprigs of rosemary. If you get stuck with a container with small sprigs, you can also make a wreath by connecting two rosemary sprigs together with wire.
Once your rosemary wreath necklaces are complete you can trim the wreaths to make them look perfect or leave them wild. I didn’t do much trimming. I think the imperfections add to the charm of these necklaces:)
Look how cute the rosemary wreath necklace looks in those little hands! My youngest loved testing it out and the necklace lasted for a couple days. Remember, we are using fresh pieces of nature so these won’t last forever. Which is a great excuse to make more!
This looks great with either a plain white tee or your Sunday’s best!
Pin this activity to save it for later!
I hope you make a rosemary wreath necklace this holiday season! I promise, your little nature lovers will love it as much as my boys.
