I’ve been a teacher for 12 years and the amount of junk food that kids pass out on Valentine’s Day never ceases to amaze me. From cupcakes, to juice, to candy, the steady stream of junk food doesn’t stop until the kids walk out the door to go home! Kids leave school with a stash of candy and believe me when I say, they will NOT miss one more piece of candy from your child. Mix things up a bit and try making these temporary tattooed Cuties!
These cute pieces of fruit will be loved by the students, teachers and parents;) Not only are Cuties a naturally sweet food that kids LOVE, but these Cuties are extra special and unique!
This healthy Valentine’s Day Snack is so incredibly easy to make and you only need these two things-

Here’s How We Made this Healthy Valentine’s Day Snack:
There really aren’t any steps to this activity. Just put the temporary tattoos right on the Cuties! Make sure you follow the instructions on your temporary tattoo packaging and put them on the Cuties the same way you would put them on skin.
We had to peel the clear film off our tattoos, place the tattoos face down on the Cuties, and put a wet paper towel on the back of the tattoos for 30 seconds. My first grader helped me with this process.
We got our temporary tattoos from Target, but you can find similar ones at craft stores or Amazon.
We placed all of our tattooed Cuties in a heart-shaped container and now they are ready to go! Which one is your favorite temporary tattoo? I like the simple silver heart outlines the most!
These could be used as:
- A classroom treat from a student or teacher.
- A special snack at home. Place these decorated Cuties in a fruit container and set them out on the counter. What a fun Valentine’s Day surprise for your kids to discover!
Pin this activity to save it for later!
I hope you try making this healthy Valentine’s Day snack! I promise, your little nature lovers will love it as much as my boys.
