The age recommendation is “kid” on the package, but I would say this is for ages 10 and up. The wood burning tool gets very hot and can burn skin easily. We have this kit and it’s still a bit tricky for my 9 year old to use. Adult supervision is required.
8. Bear Soapstone Carving Kit
This material isn’t wood but soapstone! I thought it fit best under this cartegory because of the carving aspect of the kit. All necessary supplies are included to make awesome animal soapstone figures! This is recommended for ages 8 and up.
9. V8 Combustion Engine Model Building Kit for Kids
This kit comes with everything you need to build a V8 engine replica! This awesome hands on STEM activity gives children the chance to develop useful skill! This gift is recommended for children 12 and up, but younger children would enjoy this with the help of an adult! The reveiws speek for themselves.
