I absolutely love pressing flowers! It’s such a fun process and if done correctly, pressed flowers can be used in crafts and enjoyed for a long time!
Here are a couple of tips when choosing flowers to press:
Not all flowers are easy to press and dry. I look for flowers with naturally flat blooms such as violets, daisies, black-eyed Susans, Queen Anne’s Lace and other single-petal flowers. Here are a few flower pressing methods to try. You can play around with these options and see which works best for your particular flowers and craft. Click on each method to learn more:
Press flowers in a book- This method takes 2-3 weeks, but I love the results of this method!
Press flowers in a microwave– This method is quicker, but takes a little more trial and error.
